Here’s the thing. We survive any way that we can. The choices we make when we are trying every day not to die might not look healthy from the outside. Sometimes what we need isn’t a healthy meal cooked for us with love. Sometimes what we need is a knife fight, fast and brutal.
[Sorority Noise's] newest release, You're Not As _____ As You Think You Are, out earlier this month, covers topics ranging from mental health and trauma to the loss of a friend with the playful dude-ness we've come to expect from pop-punk.
Sometimes the trauma these young men are dealing with hits me a little too close to home, makes feeling my own emotions uncomfortable. Sometimes it’s just a book, sometimes it’s more than that. This playlist works the same way.
